Loop Closing holds Composting 101 on WUSA9

Dubbed ‘the Compost Guy’, Loop Closing’s founder Jeffrey Neal explained how easy and clean it is to get started composting right in your home. After composting in his own apartment for years, Neal extended the opportunity to the entire 165-unit condo building. Located in the basement stairwell landing, they compost in 4’x2’ bins and produce a compost that will grow larger, more delicious and nutritious veggies than you’ll find on most store shelves. Clarifying a common misconception, Neal proved that the process produces a pleasant, woody scent.
