Funds for Local Gov'ts to Compost Food Waste Locally

The USDA will make $900k available for municipalities to develop and test community based solutions to compost and reduce food waste. On-site composting distributed through a community can be a solution that provides the needed capacity with less cost and more local skilled jobs in a cleaner and more equitable manner than conventional options.
