Veteran Grown: Urban Farming!

The Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project is sponsoring a series on Veteran Agriculture and asked Loop Closing to participate in the urban farming discussion, reflecting how composting is returning to its place of prominence in the agriculture space. The panel discussion occurs this Friday, 19 March, and can be accessed through this Facebook link. Rep. Kim Schrier (WA-08), a Member of the House Committee on Agriculture, will launch the event. Sean Dalgran from Growing Veterans and Jeanette Lombardo from Farmer Veteran Coalition will join us, offering their perspectives based on years of experience at the intersection of agriculture and veterans.

Check out Sarah's parallel Library of Congress blog of how she came Full Circle: From Military Service to Agriculture.

Please join us Friday to hear from us veterans who farm in urban settings, as well as the specialized programs that support us!
